About this artwork
With Marsfeld LXXIII I have created a work that impresses with its clear, rhythmic lines and its tactile depth. The fine paint residues form wave structures that are reminiscent of sedimented landscapes or surfaces shaped by wind and water. Each line is created by carefully scattering, placing and arranging the chunks of paint, which creates a harmonious rhythm on the canvas.
In my work I experiment with the destruction and rearrangement of material.… The leftover paint comes from previous projects, which I smash and sort to give them new meaning. The colorful fragments merge with the earthy backgrounds to create a landscape that seems both ordered and spontaneous.
