About this artwork
In 2025, Singapore hosted an immersive tribute to Jean Michel Basquiat. Selected to create site-specific murals in dialogue with Basquiat’s legacy, Singapore-based artist Mihov stood out for his conceptual rigor. The One Basq series was a trio of re-imagined banknotes-style large chalk murals, blending street art, pop culture, and financial symbolism. The murals were executed entirely in chalk across a blackboard wall at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.…
After the exhibition of the murals, Mihov created 2 original drawings inspired by the large murals, this being the only one available for sale. The drawings were exhibited as part of Mihov's solo in 2025 at the OCBC Center in Singapore, titled "£Ø¥€".
