Unlike many painters, I don't see things and want to paint them. I have experiences - either directly or vicariously through the media.
Increasingly I am coming into contact with people displaced by war or oppression. Individuals who previously enjoyed lives not unlike my own. People who fled, leaving everything to find a place of safety. This is my safe place. I am happy to share it and I hope that they find sanctuary here.
