Title: Pause of Silence
Medium: Graphite, pigments and silver leaf.
Technique: Drawing
The duality and the Jungian concept of shadow, a recurring theme in my works, finds a particularly suggestive declination in this work. The female figure and her shadow confront each other in a silent dialogue, creating a tension that pervades the entire composition.
The yellow band, on which the pieces of silver leaf are applied, introduces an element of dynamism… and chromatic contrast. The squares, recalling the film, suggest the idea of a sequence of moving images, of a story that unfolds beyond the visible surface.
