An organic form, constructed from the expressive power of charcoal on paper, emerges and dissolves in a field of visual tensions. Stains, smudges, and glazes create a sense of unstable depth, as if the figure inhabited multiple planes simultaneously, poised between appearance and disappearance. To be and not to be.
A sharp, precise orange line decisively cuts through the composition, connecting a point of origin with a dark void that acts as a boundary,… a portal. This gesture introduces a rupture: a clear direction within the chaos, a transition between dimensions that do not touch, yet create tension.
Dimensions explores the intersection between the visible and the intangible, between matter and emptiness. It is a work that speaks of transition, of contained energy, and of the possibility of crossing invisible boundaries, becoming a piece of strong symbolic weight and profound visual presence.

Colombia
Oscar Azula primarily uses charcoal and explores the figure and landscape, drawing on his extensive academic training in Colombia and Mexico. He experiments with the interplay of light and shadow, as well as contrasting materials and colors, achieving visual balances that embody the contradictions of contemporary life. His work conveys a powerful reflection on our essential connection to nature and seeks to awaken in the viewer a sense of belonging, respect, and vitality in the face of the tangible and human.
