About this artwork
A view of the Wadden Sea from the beach creates a special atmosphere with a unique sense of vastness. I attempted to recreate this expansiveness of the seascape using textures blended with sand and multifaceted shades of blue and violet. For me, the painting's atmosphere expresses an open mind, hence the title "Open Mind." The painting was exhibited in solo shows in Göttingen and Bad Hersfeld in 2023 and at the ARTe Konstanz art fair in 2024. It…
features a glazed, shadow-gap wooden frame, whose medium gray tone and frame height allow it to remain in the background, preserving the vastness of the landscape. Additionally, the sides of the painting are painted, allowing it to be hung without a frame. The painting is signed on both the front and back and is ready to hang. The surface has a protective varnish layer with UV protection.
