About this artwork
This drawing is part of my series inspired by The Jungle Book, the "Blue Jungle Book." I created it using blue ink, India ink, and felt-tip pens. It depicts Bagheera and Mowgli walking together in a minimalist nighttime scene. I love the idea of capturing this very special bond between them: a silent trust, a mutual protection, almost instinctive.
The deep black background highlights the shades of blue and creates an intimate atmosphere, as if suspended… in time. Nothing is spectacular, and yet everything is there—in this simple step forward, side by side.
This image resonates with me because it symbolizes learning, friendship, and the journey into the unknown, guided by a benevolent presence. It's a way of revisiting this now-mythical tale, while leaving the viewer free to project their own story onto it.
The 50 x 40 cm format is that of the frame. The drawing is on 300mg watercolor paper.

In my paintings, humans and animals observe and coexist with great curiosity towards one another.
The way people look at you is important. The looks of my many animals, but also the looks of those who contemplate them.
I try to create a bridge, a silent conversation with nature. It is often a suspended and somewhat mysterious moment.
I paint in oil on linen canvas, often in large format, with a predilection for the range of blues.
I also draw, in ink on watercolor paper. "The blue drawings".
This color creates a poetic distance between reality and its representation, between what we look at and what we feel.
My universe was born in childhood: an inner world, populated by free animals, as well as myths.
I seek to tell a story while letting things resonate within you, somewhere between realism and imagination.
