I wanted to capture a moment of absolute calm, almost a sanctuary. Here, two small animals are entwined, fast asleep, as if suspended outside of time. The black background makes their intertwined bodies stand out and gives the scene a soft, almost luminous intensity.
The shades of blue evoke a… sense of mystery and gentleness, like an inner light. This simple, instinctive gesture of surrender deeply moved me: it speaks of warmth, of trust, of the way animals—and sometimes humans—find peace in the presence of another.
For me, this image evokes protection, tenderness, and the idea of a cocoon where nothing can reach. A little bubble of serenity to contemplate.
The drawing can be sold unframed, price negotiable.

In my paintings, humans and animals observe and coexist with great curiosity towards one another.
The way people look at you is important. The looks of my many animals, but also the looks of those who contemplate them.
I try to create a bridge, a silent conversation with nature. It is often a suspended and somewhat mysterious moment.
I paint in oil on linen canvas, often in large format, with a predilection for the range of blues.
I also draw, in ink on watercolor paper. "The blue drawings".
