I created the face of a cinema icon using recycled steel shavings: their brilliance acts like tiny jewels that reflect light and give the portrait a precious glow. The rough material creates relief and contrast that enhance the central presence, giving the viewer a sense of grandeur and allure. At the same time, the nuanced rendering and chiaroscuro suggest doubt and melancholy: the image evokes a tormented and not entirely happy life, transforming…
