About this artwork
It's a very intimate work. A dialogue with my own universe, the one I've been creating over my years as a sculptor. In this metal sculpture, I wanted to capture movement and fluidity through curved and dynamic forms. The voids in the sculpture have repeatedly led me to a feeling of calm and serenity. Teo San Jose is an award-winning Spanish sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, the United Kingdom, France and America. Specializing in monumental sculpture, he seeks to create ‘spaces of serenity’ within each viewer. San Jose's abstract steel pieces are minimalistic in nature. The simplicity and movement conveyed within his compositions are inspired by Chinese and Japanese calligraphy.
