When we think of a steel sculpture we think of something heavy, that anchors us to the earth. This sculpture speaks of how deep in our life is the awareness that we are constantly living in a dynamic balance. In our body cells constantly die, and others are born creating this balance that allows us to live. This can also be related to our emotions and feelings; every day they change, although many times we are not aware of it. This is the meaning… of this sculpture, it allows that every time, moment or moment that we connect with it, in our interior, in our mind or subconscious the idea of change appears, this helps us to be attentive, alive towards all the transformations that happen within us, in our cells or in our emotions.
Art becomes a healing element and sculpture becomes that witness that every day helps us to be ... more alert. A good symbol to meditate and feel calm.
« Is art the human capacity that allows the perceptions of the soul to be transferred to the senses? »
Teo San Jose is an award-winning Spanish sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, the United Kingdom, France and America. Specializing in monumental sculpture, he seeks to create ‘spaces of serenity’ within each viewer. San Jose's abstract steel pieces are minimalistic in nature. The simplicity and movement conveyed within his compositions are inspired by Chinese and Japanese calligraphy.
