I created this metal sculpture with a passionate sense of movement and fluidity. The sharp curves and deep red color symbolize fiery energy and constant transformation. Every angle and fold seeks to capture the essence of dynamism, as if driven by an inner fire. The process of creating this sculpture moves between the immediacy… of the initial work on paper and the decision of what the final scale will be, when it is transferred to steel. It is a work full of meditation, of concentration in a state that allows for exquisite levels of balance, the minimum possible so that the structure is stable and beautiful. Elegance is a key, as is asymmetry, this allows us to see a different sculpture with each turn, it is a living work, restless and full of emotions.

Teo San Jose is an award-winning Spanish sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, the United Kingdom, France and America. Specializing in monumental sculpture, he seeks to create ‘spaces of serenity’ within each viewer. San Jose's abstract steel pieces are minimalistic in nature. The simplicity and movement conveyed within his compositions are inspired by Chinese and Japanese calligraphy.
