About this artwork
This sculpture is the winner of the special prize: "Honorable Mention" at the IX International Biennial of Contemporary Art of Valencia in this year 2022.
Serenity, unity and movement. Sculpture exhibited in: "Sculptures for a Zen garden", at the Frax Foundation. Alicante. Spain, and at the Abartium Gallery in Barcelona. It is a unique work, where the subtlety of the forms invite us to look into the distance, to the horizon, to infinity. A perfect… sculpture for a garden with a horizon line or on the edge of a swimming pool. The reflection of the sculpture in the water generates an emotion of calm and serenity. The relationship between exterior and interior space allows us to feel when we move as if the sculpture were breathing, that breath of life that gives it the intense red color.

Teo San Jose is an award-winning Spanish sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, the United Kingdom, France and America. Specializing in monumental sculpture, he seeks to create ‘spaces of serenity’ within each viewer. San Jose's abstract steel pieces are minimalistic in nature. The simplicity and movement conveyed within his compositions are inspired by Chinese and Japanese calligraphy.
