I tell the myth of GAIA from the great prehistoric religions and Greek mythology and more broadly, an exploration of the primordial relationship between women, nature and a symbolic force.
The work explores the deep connection, even fusion, between the elements. The serpentine form symbolizes knowledge, temptation, sensuality, the vital force of nature which are a part of the woman. I tell and unfold the story of a flourishing femininity within… a generous nature. This painting is a celebration of life and the senses. I invite you to a contemplation on the origin of nature, the place of humans (more particularly that of women) in the natural world. More broadly I invite you to an exploration of the primordial relationship between women, nature and symbolic forces.

Born in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, William Marcheval is a polymorphic artist, moving from painting to computer graphics. He practices glazing and sfumato, approaching Impressionism with a touch of naiveté.
