About this artwork
"You are made of a hundred thousand billion cells. We are, each one, a multitude." I wanted to depict the original cell, the archetype of life, with a painted pebble set like a nucleus. Around it, the concentric circles recall cellular divisions, the vibratory waves of matter, but also the language of galaxies and the infinitely large. It is thus located at the crossroads of the microcosm (the intimate, the biological, genesis) and the macrocosm…
(the universe, the cosmic, the unfathomable). It is the memory of the first breath, where everything becomes possible: from unity is born multiplicity.

FLOD, a French painter and sculptor based in Spain, works mainly in painting using dot art, spirals and gold; she draws on a self-taught background and studies at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon. She favors a symbolic, unreal and poetic approach; each work, singular, honors the magic of colors and the generosity of the material.
