About this artwork
I wanted an allegory of the path to the inner light, where each element (animal, plant, star) becomes a guide or witness to the transformation. • The sun gate is an archetype of the initiatory passage, towards another dimension. It evokes inner transformation and access to a greater truth. • The women are human figures who walk towards the light. The multicolored dress of one of them recalls the diversity of life, while the bird on her shoulder embodies… inspiration and guidance. • The unicorn is the protector of mysteries, it embodies purity, imagination and creative energy. • Doves are messengers of peace and transcendence, they accompany the passage. • The lotuses that emerge from the water symbolize spiritual awakening, the beauty that is born from the depths.
• Multiple suns: beyond a single star, they evoke the profusion of light, cosmic fertility, infinite joy.
FLOD, a French painter and sculptor based in Spain, works mainly in painting using dot art, spirals and gold; she draws on a self-taught background and studies at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon. Her technique lies between the abstract and the figurative, she gives herself entirely to this indefinite sphere which requires both poetry and mastery of technique. She favors a symbolic, unreal and poetic approach; each work, singular, honors the magic of colors and the generosity of the material. She infuses her art with dreams, escape, and a vibrant joy, deeply touching the soul of the spectator.
