About this artwork
For this diptych work, I wanted to create a magical landscape where the trees, treated as circular masses dotted with dots, stand like luminous beacons. The technique of modern pointillism, combined with flat areas of oil and acrylic, creates a vibrant and tactile texture.
The palette, dominated by gold, turquoise, coral, and soft green, gives the composition a joyful and timeless atmosphere. The rounded hills, covered with circular motifs, amplify… the dreamlike dimension of the scene.
The whole invites us to enter an imaginary universe, somewhere between an enchanted forest and an inner garden, where every detail becomes a celebration of life. It is a landscape of the soul, where joy and wonder become palpable.
FLOD, a French painter and sculptor based in Spain, works mainly in painting using dot art, spirals and gold; she draws on a self-taught background and studies at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon. Her technique lies between the abstract and the figurative, she gives herself entirely to this indefinite sphere which requires both poetry and mastery of technique. She favors a symbolic, unreal and poetic approach; each work, singular, honors the magic of colors and the generosity of the material. She infuses her art with dreams, escape, and a vibrant joy, deeply touching the soul of the spectator.
