About this artwork

In my work ZUGENEIGT, I show the hidden, fragile beauty and the intimacy between two people. The lines that lie like a veil over the faces are for me like the barriers that we often unconsciously build around ourselves - they hide, shield and at the same time create new dimensions. But through these stripes, through this conscious distortion, the essential becomes visible: the emotion, the softness, the vulnerability. The golden accents seem almost… like broken pieces of mirror - they reflect light and seem like fragments of the soul that venture out into the open and seek a deep connection.

My work explores the tension between identity, body, concealment, and transformation.
I don't understand painting as a representation, but as a space for inner movement. As a place where that which cannot be captured becomes visible.
