About this artwork
In my painting titled "Rush Hour," I wanted to depict typical big-city feelings such as hectic pace, lack of time, isolation, and superficiality. The people are painted in black and white and shades of gray. The only two figures, who are facing each other and communicating, are painted in shades of red and blue. These two colors radiate into the painting.
The mixed-media painting was exhibited at the ARTe art fair in Konstanz in 2024 and in the… pop-up exhibition at the historic Wienhausen Manor House near Celle. The sides of the painting are also painted, allowing it to be hung without a frame. The painting is signed and numbered on both the front and back and is ready to hang. The surface of the painting is finished with a UV-protective varnish. A giclée print of the original, in its original size, is available on canvas. Prints in other formats are also possible.

Peter Stahr works as a painter and digital artist with a background in painting, media art, and web design, having completed his art studies in Braunschweig.
