About this artwork
There is something shocking about the association of the famous portrait of Klimt with a bar code. A unique original provided with an electronic sign of mass production and which in turn is manufactured as an original, unites a contradiction in itself to form a coherent picture. The tension that arises from this contradiction makes the picture contemporary and timeless at the same time.
