About this artwork
She is ready. Or perhaps she wasn't expecting to be.
The bags are on the floor — and on one of them, the title of the work.
The city burns around her — red, yellow, orange, black. An evening dress. Not the right choice for a journey. And yet.
With the pixel pittorico — one of my earliest experiments with this language — I build the tension of a moment suspended between before and after. Fragments of colour applied with a palette knife, breaking… down and recomposing the image. Up close, pure chromatic energy. Stepping back, a figure, a decision, a threshold.
Fuga is not running away. It is the moment when staying becomes impossible and leaving becomes the only act of freedom available. The body already knows. The city is already behind her.
This work has travelled through exhibitions and earned a recognition along the way.

« In a time when superficial glances seem incapable of perceiving the nuances of life, I try to synthesize a thousand tensions of my feelings and those of the world. »
"In a time that accelerates, simplifies, divides, and flattens, my art offers a space where complexity is value, fragment possibility, and sharing completion. A space where anyone can feel welcomed for who they are." I am an Italian contemporary painter. Born in Southern Italy, I spent years moving through structures that did not represent me — economics degree, corporate work, even politics. Always searching for myself, and for freedom. At forty, painting emerged as a necessity, the place where the search for myself became a pictorial one. My language is the pictorial pixel — fragments of color applied with a palette knife, breaking down and recomposing images. Up close, the works appear abstract. Stepping back, figures, faces, and urban landscapes reveal themselves — unfolding connections and possibilities. Exhibited nationally and internationally, my works are held in private collections in Europe and the United States, and include a cover of musician Alphonso Johnson's album.
