About this artwork
Tango sul Molo brings together two worlds that are deeply connected in my work: tango and the South Pier of San Benedetto del Tronto, on Italy’s Adriatic coast.
For me, tango embodies passion, balance, trust and the many emotions that arise through human connection. The pier, with its natural beauty and everyday life, became the ideal place for this encounter. A couple dances, two musicians play, while a fisherman passes by on his bicycle: different… rhythms and individual lives briefly become part of the same experience.
Transparent watercolor washes, warm yellows, oranges and ochres, and touches of blue give the scene movement and lightness.
Created in 2014, this work became the starting point for my larger oil painting Molo Sud, later sold through Singulart, while remaining an independent work in its own right.

« In a time when superficial glances seem incapable of perceiving the nuances of life, I try to synthesize a thousand tensions of my feelings and those of the world. »
I am an Italian contemporary painter. Born in Southern Italy, I spent years moving through structures that did not represent me — economics degree, corporate work, even politics. Always searching for myself, and for freedom. At forty, painting emerged as a necessity, the place where the search for myself became a pictorial one. My language is the pictorial pixel — fragments of color applied with a palette knife, breaking down and recomposing images. Up close, the works appear abstract. Stepping back, figures, faces, and urban landscapes reveal themselves — unfolding connections and possibilities. Exhibited nationally and internationally, my works are held in private collections in Europe and the United States, and include a cover of musician Alphonso Johnson's album.
In a time that accelerates, simplifies, divides, and flattens, my art offers a space where complexity is value, fragment possibility, and sharing completion. A space where anyone can feel welcomed for who they are.
