About this artwork
An eye that fills the entire canvas. Lashes like branches reaching into the dark. The iris — deep blue, fragmented — holds a reflection inside it, another presence caught within the gaze.
I See You. In the language of the Na'vi people, this is not just a greeting — it means I recognise you in your wholeness. This is what I wanted to paint: the act of truly seeing someone, and the vulnerability of being seen in return.
With the pixel pittorico —… fragments of colour applied with a palette knife in blue, violet, white and deep red — I build an eye that is both intimate and vast.
The gaze here carries weight. It stays. It asks something of whoever meets it. Looking is never passive. It is always an exchange.

« In a time when superficial glances seem incapable of perceiving the nuances of life, I try to synthesize a thousand tensions of my feelings and those of the world. »
I am an Italian contemporary painter. Born in Southern Italy, I spent years moving through structures that did not represent me — economics degree, corporate work, even politics. Always searching for myself, and for freedom. At forty, painting emerged as a necessity, the place where the search for myself became a pictorial one. My language is the pictorial pixel — fragments of color applied with a palette knife, breaking down and recomposing images. Up close, the works appear abstract. Stepping back, figures, faces, and urban landscapes reveal themselves — unfolding connections and possibilities. Exhibited nationally and internationally, my works are held in private collections in Europe and the United States, and include a cover of musician Alphonso Johnson's album.
In a time that accelerates, simplifies, divides, and flattens, my art offers a space where complexity is value, fragment possibility, and sharing completion. A space where anyone can feel welcomed for who they are.
