About this artwork
This piece emerged during a period of deep self-reflection, when my energy was at its lowest but an uncontainable need to express what is usually unspoken forced its way through. In that state of vulnerability, every mask fell away. What remained was the raw self - the exposed flesh of emotion, the wounds usually hidden, the honesty that only surfaces when we can no longer pretend.
