About this artwork
The elephant is the great animal par excellence. It is the survivor of the giants - now extinct - who once inhabited the earth. Humans, for their lust for the ivory of their tusks and because they compete for their living space, do their best to make them go extinct as well. Its history has been intertwined with the human one for centuries and for this very reason it is one of the animals most represented in iconography and art.

Daniele Nannini is an experienced sculptor and designer based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Germany. In addition, his pieces are featured in publications such as Zoom Magazine, LIBER, etc. Begining his career as an illustrator for children's books, Nannini's drawings have always emphasized volumes. He now creates with clay, with a geometric measure in mind.
