About this artwork
In creating this work I explored controlled chaos, where the simplicity of minimalism meets the depth of expressionism. I employed acrylics, plaster and cement to weave a visual texture that challenges perception. Lego bricks represent primitive innocence, intertwined with the complexity of modern life. This canvas is an invitation to reflect on order in disorder, bringing an energy into your home that stimulates thoughts and internal dialogue.

Gastone Cecconello (Vercelli, 1942) has been working for over sixty years in painting, sculpture, and mixed media. His visual language—based on the figure of the hominid as a metaphor for the human condition—arises from the dialogue between matter and symbol, between the archaic and the contemporary.
He has exhibited in over one hundred solo shows in Italy and abroad: Columbia University in New York, Staatsuniversität Hamburg, the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna, and Galerie Man Arte in Paris. Critic Pierre Restany has written about his work. His career is documented in the monograph Alle origini del mito (Silvana Editoriale, 2012).
At over eighty years old, he still works every day in his studio in Salussola, Biella.
He has exhibited in over one hundred solo shows in Italy and abroad: Columbia University in New York, Staatsuniversität Hamburg, the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna, and Galerie Man Arte in Paris.
