Animus is a symbolic portrait that explores the inner masculine dimension as it manifests in the psyche. Rather than a realistic representation, the work evokes a presence—a silent force, an inner guide with whom one communicates without words.
Painted in acrylic with a deliberately limited palette, the work relies on raw and instinctive gestures. These direct textures give the figure a character that is both archaic and intimate, as if it were… emerging from the depths of the unconscious.
Animus embodies momentum, direction, the active and assertive part of being. Its face stands in a middle ground: neither threatening nor soothing, but attentive — an inner presence that helps one navigate the world, understand, and find one's place.
