About this artwork
This portrait was born from a day spent with a friend who came to visit me in Barcelona. She has a naturally enthusiastic, almost magical energy that transforms everything she touches. In her art as in her way of being, she creates a world filled with poetry and magic—a world where one immediately feels lighter.
In painting her, I wanted to capture that spark that shines in her eyes, that blend of gentleness, femininity, and spontaneity. Her delicate… features, luminous presence, and open gaze have always inspired me.

Through figures often isolated, immersed, or confronted by a boundary (water, glass, surface), her work explores the processes of individuation, the integration of the Shadow, and the states of vulnerability linked to becoming oneself. Flesh becomes the visible terrain of an intimate passage, where psychic tensions, sensory perception, and presence crystallize in the pictorial matter.
