About this artwork
With L'expression, I enjoyed exploring the expressive power of the human face. I worked by mixing charcoal and acrylic to allow the spontaneity of the line and the density of the color to coexist.
This portrait emerged from a game of observation: trying to identify the emotion hidden behind a wide gaze, a raised eyebrow, a hesitant mouth. I didn't want to freeze a specific emotion, but rather capture that blurred zone where several feelings overlap.…
The gestures are raw, quick, and deliberate. The bright red, muted green, and accentuated lines reinforce this expressive energy that I wanted to unleash.
It's a piece where I let curiosity guide me — a portrait that questions, amuses, surprises.
