Against the ancient cliff face of Cullinan, a bare trunk rises through an eruption of yellow-green canopy - neither dead nor fully alive, occupying the threshold between seasons. In "Crown", the latent symmetry of the landscape produces something ceremonial: a figure adorned, presiding, rooted in stone and light simultaneously. The rock behind it is not backdrop. It is witness. What the eye initially reads as landscape… resolves, under sustained attention, into something that has always been here - a crowned presence embedded in the geology of the place itself.
