About this artwork
My work captures the tranquil essence of winter, showing a tit that defies the cold with its liveliness. I have painted it with oil to highlight the soft and crisp texture of the snow and feathers. I play with hyperrealism and impressionism to convey the stillness and subtle beauty of nature at rest. This painting invites the viewer to stop and admire the simplicity and resilience of life even in the coldest conditions.
The tit, one of the most… beautiful birds in Europe, is one of the most abundant, friendly and trusting, as it usually tolerates our presence well. It is also considered a symbol of love, loyalty and hope.
Oil on Velázquez linen canvas (100% linen), stretched in an artisanal way with nails on a pine wood frame with 47 x 17 mm slats, with handmade assembly.
