About this artwork
I have captured the essence of spring and the delicacy of life in my work. Oil painting allows me to capture the ephemeral beauty of cherry blossoms or Sakura, which is what the samurai called it. In Buddhism, its brief flowering has a symbolic meaning with the temporality and passing nature of beauty and life, but also with the transformation of the life cycle, being associated with rebirth. With this painting I hope to convey a gentle reminder… of renewal and hope.
Oil on canvas (100% cotton) mounted on synthetic clapboard.
Signed in the lower right part.
Courtesy frame with white stained wood molding, 25 x 34 x 3 cm.
