About this artwork
The two waymarkers are placed to help sailors navigate the entrance to a small harbour. I was much attracted by the minimalism achievable with a long exposure, which flattens out the sea and adds to the feeling of calm. I was able to take the picture from a small ramp up which boats could be handled out of the water if need be. The simplicity of the picture appeals to me.
