About this artwork
It was not until the beginning of June 2025 that “Carmine Double” was created, a clear composition of two very dynamic basic movements in free space, performed fluently using only graphite and colored pencils.
Again, graphite lines determine the course and direction, which are continued or accompanied by bundles of carmine and vermillion lines and gain in depth and momentum through the dynamism of the colors.
As a trained graphic designer, Norbert Städele primarily uses painting and drawing techniques in his artistic work. With a realistic style and detailed colored pencil drawings, he carefully illustrates his observations of the world. Layers of hatching create intensified colors that bring his themes to life. Städele's art expresses human relationships and social injustices through meticulous observation. He also explores the phenomena of light and color and the traces of human intervention in nature. His work is therefore a haunting, intense communication of his profound engagement with the world.
