About this artwork
Using watercolors and an impressionistic style, I wanted to capture the magical light and soft atmosphere of late summer in Valencia. The tower rises serenely amidst warm tones, inviting you to feel the calm and nostalgia of those moments. This work brings a sense of peace, diffused light, and the ephemeral beauty of a vividly lived memory to any space.
Through layered glazes, loose brushstrokes, and intense chromatic contrasts, I sought to convey… not only the visual atmosphere of the moment but also its emotional and symbolic weight. The composition relies on a vibrant palette, where warm tones converse with subtle nuances, evoking movement, depth, and a sense of suspended time. This contemporary watercolor draws inspiration from Impressionism, prioritizing light, perception, and emotion over literal detail, inviting the viewer to complete the scene through their own sensibility.
