In this work, I wanted to capture the melancholy and soft light at the end of the day in Valencia, using watercolors to create that fluid and vibrant atmosphere. The impression of movement and the pastel colors invite you to feel the calm and mystery that summer takes away, leaving behind a serene energy that will fill any space with nostalgia and fleeting beauty.
This contemporary watercolor draws inspiration from Impressionism, prioritizing light,… perception, and emotion over literal detail, inviting the viewer to complete the scene through their own sensibility. I wanted to express the calm, solemnity, and latent energy of the surroundings, using color as the primary language and water as a creative ally.
