This work of mine was born from the desire to unite music, thought, and matter in a single expressive gesture. On this canvas, I wanted to give shape to an iconic face—that of John Lennon—rising from a sea of deep blue hues, as if emanating directly from the thoughts and emotions the color captures. Around and above him, words intertwine like waves: narrative writings, fragments of ideas, messages that dissolve and recompose on the painted surface.…
The spheres represent energy moving through space, the connection between the world of mind and matter. I used recycled materials to add a tactile and symbolic dimension, as if each element had already lived a story and carried its memory.
This work is, for me, a continuous dialogue between sound and silence, between what is seen and what is perceived, between imagination and the concrete reality of matter taking on new life.
Silvana Di Vora, a self-taught artist, uses watercolor, acrylic on canvas, and scrap materials to create works brimming with light and movement. She experiments with figurative and abstract art, using rapid brushstrokes and intense monochromes, highlighting the three-dimensionality and luminosity of unexpected details. Her works, often melancholic and dynamic, convey that even from darkness, the most intense light and vibrant color can emerge, instilling vitality and hope in the viewer.
