Sometimes emotions become like a piece of steel, that is, rigid. When I started working on the series: Dynamic Balance I was doing several Art-therapy workshops, in them I could see how there was a direct relationship between the shapes that came out of my hands and the emotions of the people who saw them and felt them. That led me to open these curvatures of steel towards the sky. A feminine and moving space that gives the sculpture all the freshness… and strength that identifies it...a breath of poetry.
« Is art the human capacity that allows the perceptions of the soul to be transferred to the senses? »
Teo San Jose is an award-winning Spanish sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, the United Kingdom, France and America. Specializing in monumental sculpture, he seeks to create ‘spaces of serenity’ within each viewer. San Jose's abstract steel pieces are minimalistic in nature. The simplicity and movement conveyed within his compositions are inspired by Chinese and Japanese calligraphy.
