Faces 2 was made to be immersive. At two meters square, the scale invites you to not just view the work, but to step into it—to feel surrounded by color, form, and emotion.
This piece explores the complexity of identity. Multiple faces are hidden in the fractured surface—some visible, others fading. That tension reflects how we experience others and ourselves: not as fixed portraits, but as shifting, layered impressions.
I used acrylic and sharp,… faceted brushwork to create a mosaic of feeling. The process was slow and deliberate—building one shape at a time, stepping back, letting patterns and expressions emerge. It was less about painting individuals and more about capturing the space between clarity and blur.
Color became my main language. Through rhythm, light, and tone, I aimed to show how emotion is often felt more strongly than seen.
Faces 2 is about presence—fragmented, changing, and alive. Not a single face, but many, meeting you all at once.
