About this artwork
Faces 6 explores emergence—what slowly reveals itself from darkness when we look with patience. At 90 x 110 cm, the vertical format allowed me to layer fragments upward, building tension between shadow and light. Faces exist here, but they’re hidden—glimpsed through folds of deep blue, violet, and sudden bursts of orange.
This painting isn’t meant to be immediately clear. I wanted it to feel like memory—partial, shifting, quietly emotional. I worked… in mostly cool tones, letting warmth break through in unexpected places. No single figure dominates; instead, a collective presence begins to form as you spend time with it.
The process was meditative—focused on what can be felt more than seen. Faces 6 doesn’t shout. It waits. And in that waiting, it invites the viewer to see not just with their eyes, but with attention and emotion.
