About this artwork
The picture shows the view over the "Binnen-Alster" in Hamburg. The painter not only depicts very beautiful colors of an urban landscape, but also integrates everything that is there in everyday life: a scaffolding, a construction container and the barriers of a construction site as well as the lights, traffic lights and the car. These elements are part of the composition of the painting.
In the background you can see the Hamburg TV tower, which… every Hamburg citizen knows, and in front of it the green copper roofs on the Alster. Beyond the water, the urban world is represented by small areas that can no longer be assigned a specific shape. This intentional blurring creates an enormous spatial depth in the image.
