Ulla Kutter has depicted a vibrant night scene here. You can see a popular, wild corner of her hometown Hamburg, a club under the Sternbrücke: The corner of the Astra Stube with the painting, a view up the street. Cars driving by cast wild shadows, different people sit in front of clubs and snack bars. This railway bridge, under which some music clubs are located, will soon be demolished and with it all the clubs. Painted with two layers of oil paints…
on wood, the bright aspects come into their own in contrast to the dark, mixed tones. With this picture, the painter made a visual statement for places of this type and the street art that can be found there. The picture is self-primed on a wooden panel, the structure of the wood and the primer are visible.
