This is the transformation of the adolescent, still protected in a cocoon, but already radiating an inner fire. The canvas unfolds a vertical universe, like a spiritual and organic ascension.
In the silence of metamorphoses, a heart beats, enveloped in dreams. The seed bursts, the shell trembles, the adolescent rids herself of her shadows. The more the self builds itself, the more it fears collapsing. Hence, the omnipresent eyes, inserted into plant… or celestial structures that monitor, guide, protect: they symbolize the awakening consciousness, the inner gaze of the adolescent who searches for and asserts herself.
The side columns, like wings still folded, seem ready to open: they mark the passage towards a new verticality, that of the adult woman. The whole, bathed in a deep green - the color of growth, heart and renewal - expresses the transformation as a slow alchemy, both intimate and universal.
FLOD, a French painter and sculptor based in Spain, works mainly in painting using dot art, spirals and gold; she draws on a self-taught background and studies at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon. Her technique lies between the abstract and the figurative, she gives herself entirely to this indefinite sphere which requires both poetry and mastery of technique. She favors a symbolic, unreal and poetic approach; each work, singular, honors the magic of colors and the generosity of the material. She infuses her art with dreams, escape, and a vibrant joy, deeply touching the soul of the spectator.
