About this artwork
The work "cosmic energy I" consists of 625 hand-made, natural cubes made of pine root wood, walnut wood, linden and maple. The harmonious arrangement of the different color shades and grains creates patterns that unfold from the inside out and are reminiscent of cosmic currents.
The composition conveys the feeling of a pulsating center that dissolves outwards - an allusion to the dynamics of the universe. The organic material wood connects nature… with the infinite and creates a meditative depth between structure and free flow.
