About this artwork
Against a somber grey-blue sky above a green-blue sea, a large, bright cloud appears like a tree that has suddenly grown on the horizon. The tranquil atmosphere of the painting expresses hope (for better times) to me. The painting was exhibited in a solo exhibition in Bad Hersfeld in 2023 and at the ARTe art fair in Konstanz in 2024.
The painting has a glazed, shadow-gap wooden frame, whose medium gray tone and frame height allow it to recede into… the background, preserving the vastness of the landscape. Additionally, the sides of the painting are painted, so it can also be hung without a frame. The painting is signed on both the front and back and is ready to hang. The surface of the painting has a protective varnish layer with UV protection.

Peter Stahr works as a painter and digital artist with a background in painting, media art, and web design, having completed his art studies in Braunschweig. He prefers acrylic and mixed media on large canvases, combining pigments, dispersions, earths, and other materials to create complex, profound works that oscillate between abstraction and representation.
