About this artwork
This is a painting of the great jazz saxophonist bebop blues and avant. guard player John Coltrane. He played in many settings out doors in such performances as the Newport Jazz Festival and in night club settings like the Village Vanguard. He has also done some incredible work in studio recordings. I chose do to a painting of him in a relaxed setting maybe taking a pause to let the piano or drummer solo . I titled this painting 'A Subtle Trane'.
