About this artwork
One thing I have always been fascinated with is flowers. In a garden in a vase or on a printed fabric, I have always found them beautiful to look at. This is one of a few paintings I've done of flowers. I decided to use flowers that you might not see on an everyday bases. I incorporated 'Birds of Paradise 'Cascade Orchid' 'Purple Mystique' to name a few into the painting. I liked the idea of a bright brass vase to suport all these beautiful flowers,…
put against a dark blue background to put focus on them. I titled this 'Beautiful Exotic Flowers'.

Alan Reddick is a painter and sculptor who draws on a diverse self-taught background, shaped by observing masters like Seurat, Picasso, and Duchamp. He skillfully blends pointillism, cubism, and dynamic composition with his own distinctive motifs—floating musical instruments, geometric forms, and vivid hues of violet, orange, and indigo. His works radiate vibrancy and motion, passionately conveying the exuberance of music, the richness of nature, and the adventurous spirit of life. He is a graduate of Morehouse College with a degree in arts and communications . He has been in various galleries principally in the New York City area of both his sculptures and paintings .He has exhibited with such lauded artist as Romare Bearden Jacob Lawrance, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse , and Joan Miro.
