A lot of us throughout the course of our life have overcome different obstacles. Life is a constantly moving story that will at times be easy and others put complexities in front of us that requires a lot of our human energy to solve. People that have been physically challenged have a continuous fight that they have to go through in life. Many of these individuals have such inner strengths because of the cards they have been dealt. I have out such…
such respect for them decided to do this painting of a Marathon that in many cases is the ultimate challenge . I titled this 'Not by chance but Determination.

Alan Reddick is a painter and sculptor who draws on a diverse self-taught background, shaped by observing masters like Seurat, Picasso, and Duchamp. He skillfully blends pointillism, cubism, and dynamic composition with his own distinctive motifs—floating musical instruments, geometric forms, and vivid hues of violet, orange, and indigo. His works radiate vibrancy and motion, passionately conveying the exuberance of music, the richness of nature, and the adventurous spirit of life. He is a graduate of Morehouse College with a degree in arts and communications . He has been in various galleries principally in the New York City area of both his sculptures and paintings .He has exhibited with such lauded artist as Romare Bearden Jacob Lawrance, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse , and Joan Miro.
