About this artwork
I always has a fascination with instruments floating in space. These have been some of my most successful and though provoking paintings. The concept of this was to free up the music and instruments. To let the viewer's imagination flow as to what they could possibly be playing To have a close up of instruments that you may not normally pay attention too,as well as have a little fun just looking at these paintings. I wanted to show the contrast…
with different instruments.The basson flanked by a bass clarinet on one side and a tenor sax on the other. I titled this The Woodwind and Brass Space Experience.

Alan Reddick is a painter and sculptor who draws on a diverse self-taught background, shaped by observing masters like Seurat, Picasso, and Duchamp. He skillfully blends pointillism, cubism, and dynamic composition with his own distinctive motifs—floating musical instruments, geometric forms, and vivid hues of violet, orange, and indigo. His works radiate vibrancy and motion, passionately conveying the exuberance of music, the richness of nature, and the adventurous spirit of life. He is a graduate of Morehouse College with a degree in arts and communications . He has been in various galleries principally in the New York City area of both his sculptures and paintings .He has exhibited with such lauded artist as Romare Bearden Jacob Lawrance, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse , and Joan Miro.
