About this artwork
The work represents a moment of synthesis between dynamism and suspension, between geometric abstraction and figurative memory. I constructed the human figure through faceted, transparent surfaces in amber resin, to evoke a body in metamorphosis, luminous and light, seemingly free from the weight of matter. The glossy verticality of the plexiglass interacts with the translucent corporeality of the resin and the deep opacity of the black marble. The…
plexiglass represents the rational axis, the upward tension. A sculptural and symbolic system defining a tension between weight and lightness, stasis and motion. The figure appears as an icon of modernity in transformation: no longer a natural body but a diaphanous presence. The work presents itself as a reflection on the human condition, suspended between concreteness and transcendence, body and light, fall and elevation.
